S4-Episode 4 - Point Twill Gamp
hello! I have just beamed this warp and I'm so excited to get threading. that part I'm good with. but here's my stupid question: on the draft, the tie up is clear in my head, but what isn't.......treadling area is blank. I think I've confused myself.....but, can you help? I thought I knew what I would be doing with my feet when the time came.....now, I'm not knowing at all. thank you in advance.
For this one, you follow Jane’s diagrams on pages 3 & 4. You weave the first sample TAW (treadling the threading pattern) and for the rest, change the directions on your twill as Jane has drawn in her direction. It would probably help if you got out your draft paper and drew down a couple of the diagrams so you could see and understand it before you sit at the loom. Or, you could review the episode one more time. Once you “get” it, you’ll be on your way with no looking back ;-)
Lots of ideas from this gamp. Colours used: Nile, plum, navy, seaton, natural, peacock, light purple, teal. So hard to capture the colour in photos, but I love the seaton sample; a little softer than the shawl in teal, but it’s what I had on hand and is still super cozy! Lots of fun with treadling sequences with some nice “vertical bars” and “medallions”. And of course real magic when it all comes out of the water!
Well done, Lisa! 👏👏👏
Wow Lisa...I love them all !!
