I have some beads that are compatible and sparkly, so I experimented. I can’t figure out how the sequin thread is made, so I just a used a long doubled thread of the pale limette bamboo and looped it through the beads twice. I think I should have placed the beads more evenly and perhaps done them in doubles , one for each side of the fabric, but it’s definitely doable.
You can see a bit of the thread hanging out the sides. I decided to just cut it off as Jane said the weavers in India did.
