A quick question! Can I go onto units, blocks and profiles without doing laces? I've done the turned twill episode but am really not interested in laces.

Laces
I think you might find the videos at the blackboard interesting to watch. It all builds up. You also see how so many of the threadings are related to each other and how they are employed as a unit for a block. And profiles are deployed even more.
Nevertheless, give it a shot and skip. It won't prevent you from going back to take a peek later.
I didn't know what to expect from laces but I found them quite fun and interesting. And just because they are called laces, they are not necessarily "Lacey".
I gifted lace towels from the elegant towel kit. I kept one. They are one of my favorite towels and a friend who is a weaver, said the same. It's surprisingly absorbent, durable, and so drapey.
Thank you. I'll probably just watch all the videos, then go on to units, blocks etc. I'm so loving the turned twill (just finishing my 3rd warp!) , and really want to explore this further.
Thanks again

I think that's great! I'm of two-three-five minds right now... I keep wanting to go back and delve into certain structures that resonated with me but at the same time, I want to catch up and see what's next. I have to remember to enjoy the process and not panic.
In the turned twill in season 7, if I recall, you will see some lace and little triangles with in blocks.
Have fun!! Don't panic like me;)
Thank you! I've been doing to course for over a year now (with an enforced break for a broken shoulder) and am loving every minute of it. Just wish there were some other weavers nearby who I could interact with!
