Hello,. I have a Louet Spring loom. This is embarrassing, but it appears that I don’t understand how to tie it up as I thought I did. For the Season 6 summer and winter project, I tied the upper lams where the numbers are, and indeed I can see that these shafts sink when I step on the treadle. However, the pattern is coming out on the wrong side of the cloth, so clearly I’ve made a mistake. I can reverse the tie-up, but this doesn’t make that much sense to me. Can you help? Many thanks.

Hi Beth. I have a Spring as well, looked at the information from the Summer and Winter project draft, and entered a sample of it into my weaving software. Where the pattern shows black on the draft is because the warp is black and the weft is white. If your warp is light and your weft is dark you will get what looks like the reverse pattern. It's just the way the patterns look with black warp and white weft.
Does this help?
Many thanks. I think it figured it out, but I really appreciate the reply.
