I was weaving sample #3 and it looked really good -- nice & lacy on the loom. Then I decided to count my picks per inch in the plain weave strip between the two groups of A&B units. I hit 28 PPI (and I wasn't even beating that hard).
I unwove what I had done and redid it at 15 PPI. It lost all the lace definition.
I re-watched most of the episode and couldn't find a place where PPI related to the different structures was discussed. So my question is, should I beat the entire sample at 15 PPI start to finish and hope wet finishing transforms the fabric into what's on the episode, or just roll with what looks good on the loom and hope wet finishing preserves that look? I did notice in 5.3.2 @ 1:01, that Jane's sample #3 seems to be beaten a little tighter in the lace structure section, but wasn't sure if it actually was.
