I would like to make some placemats with 8/4 cotton. Will a sett of 12 epi as used for swedish lace work?

I was looking at my sample from this episode. It was sett at 12 épi for the 8/4 and I think it would be fine for a placemat.

Having said that, I never owned a placemat until I started weaving them here so weight and drape would be personal? You could open or tighten with washed samples before finishing off the warp?

I really enjoyed weaving swedish lace.

thanks Nato, I have woven placemats in 8/2 and 8/4 and for me 8/2 is a little lightweight for a placemat. I am going to do huck lace - I love the way it makes little circles.
