Jane rethreads the loom to make the beautiful scarves with Bronson Spot, from the original sampler threading. I would like to do the same, but haven't a clue how to manage the threads when rethreading without my cross to keep them in order. Might there be a video on this technique or something?
Thanks much.

rethreading loom
If you secured your warp as it comes through its current heddles by tying your warp ends into small groups - you could untie one small group and check to find each thread that needs to be rethreaded. You'll find that some of them will stay in the same heddle that they are already in. It just takes patience. Look forward to hearing how it works out ;-)
Ronit, Can't you reinsert your lease sticks behind your heddles before you begin to change the threading? Just open up a plain weave shed, insert a lease stick...open up the other plain weave shed and insert the second lease stick?
a couple of years ago, Sandra replied this to me:
"I can’t quickly find where Jane demonstrates putting lease sticks back into a threaded warp. However, if you raise shafts 1 & 3 and slip your first lease stick in and then raise shafts 2 & 4 and slip in your other lease stick, you will have returned the cross to your warp. Secure your lease sticks in your normal way and you will be able to make changes to your warp."
You could read the whole thread by typing in Lease into the search area. I can't recall off hand what the PW shafts are for the Bronson's lace so, it might not be 13/24 or if what I just said makes any sense or if it makes a difference.
Also, put in the lease sticks and secure them well, before your cut your warp. (oh boy did I forget to do that once)
This is very helpful. I was thinking of the lease sticks, the way you are describing it, but didn't know if it would work, given the short strands left from cutting off ( I guess, I could advance the warp for the desired length). Anyway, I have already cut and tied the small batches, as suggested earlier. I will give this a try and be patient. I will report once completed. Wish me luck! I think I will do the second rethread just to have the opportunity to rethread with the lease sticks. I think this double attempt will ingrain the techniques for me. Thanks so much for the prompt advise.
After tying threads in small batches behind the reed, I succeeded in rethreading the loom. The difficulty was that I needed heddles on different shafts that were available. So, I had to free up these heddles, leaving several threads lined up without support in the process. I don't know that having the lease sticks would have made that part easier. My rethreading was more robust than what Jane did in the lesson. I had threaded the whole loom backward ( mixing up the left/right sides), hence my weaving structure wasn't in line with the color borders. It made it difficult to really see the structure pattern changes in the gamp.
Thanks for your guidance in this. I am glad that I have now had this experience.
Ronit.
Ronit, it would have been easier if you'd re-inserted your lease sticks before you cut your weaving off at the front. You could have just pulled all of the threads out of the heddles and picked the threads from the lease sticks, just as you did when you did the initial threading.
Glad it all worked out in the long run.
