Hi there...I'm trying to understand the ties ups for Bronson Lace. Now granted I've moved ahead on the lessons (I bought a Holly & Berry kit not realizing it's Bronson), so I'm trying to figure it out.
My 2 main problems are:
1. Did I understand that you read the treadling sequence from the bottom up?
2. There's an empty line on the treadling sequence and I don't understand what that means
- I have a Jack Loom
- I noticed that there is a note on the side of the draft that says "We provide a sinking shed tie up. If you have a jack loom, tie up the empty boxes"
Man! I just don't understand!
Please help

Our fellow weavers have given you some good advice about doing your tie-ups. Do watch the Bronson Lace episode in Season 5 Episode 7 as Nato recommended. I'm sure you will understand better as you watch. Also - if you have enough yarn - put on a slightly longer warp, weave a sample, cut it off, secure the borders and then wash and dry it. You will see your lace pattern show up after it's been finished. That will give you the confidence to move forward with the balance of the warp. Also, here is an article from our Knowledge Base that explains the different tie-ups for rising or sinking shed looms - https://janestaffordtextiles.com/knowledge-base/rising-shed-sinking-shed-which-tie-up-do-i-use/ Relax, tie-up your loom and start weaving!
