I think this was discussed in this lesson, but I can't find it back. I have a 4-shaft loom with 6 pedals . How would I get a version of the"Mother of all tie-ups" on my loom? Do I have to limit designs to only 2 of lace, warp, or weft or keep changing my tie-ups? If this was indeed discussed, which video would I find it in. Love the lessons and thank you!
Hi Nadia, You can’t get the mother of all tie-ups with only 6 treadles, you will need 8 to get them all at once. You will have to change your tie-ups but I arranged all the samples so you could do a bunch with one tie-up and then change to get the others. Hope this helps. Now....having said all that you could use a skeleton tie-up but I would get confusing doing it that way, having to step on multiple treadles at once..you won’t get any rhythm that way and the rhythm helps you know where you are. Change your tie-ups when needed. Hope this helps.
