I'm really confused and I'm hoping it's an easy solution. Is there a "correct" threading for huck?
You thread. 12121, 43434. Anne Dixon's book uses 13131, 24242. Madelyn van der Hoogt uses23232, 14141.
There is no correct way...in the video I go over all the different ways of threading and I do provide the alternate tie-up for the method Madelyn uses. I discuss why Huck is often so difficult to understand because of all these different methods. The method I use is the oldest and ties itself to Canvas weave and with that method we learn how closely related Swedish is...it is easier to understand. It is also the best method to use when doing what I do in the blended lace sample. You just need to review that part of the video where I discuss all this.
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. For some reason I’ve really been over thinking this. I’m currently working on the OHS weaving certification program Unit on Block weaves which includes Huck. Your classes are really helping.
