I have been weaving rep weave for some time now (intermediate experience), however, I just changed loom to a Harrisville (from a Maccomber) and I am having intense problems with the sheds opening when I treddle.
I have a skeleton tie up and sheds placed 1-5/2-6/3-7/4-8. I am using 5/2 perle cotton and using 40 epi.
Is there any tips and tricks that I may be missing to help me not manually push the sheds down each time I pass a pick?
Sorry for the delay, Hellen...... I'm not understanding where your problem is stemming from with both of your looms being jack type looms.... Why are you using a skeleton tie-up using 5/2 Perle cotton at 40 epi. Can you give us a bit more information about your project?
