I cannot for the life of me understand the warp color sequence for the canvas weave baby blanket. It calls for the following amounts of threads:
1 Nile green (floating selvedge)
96 alternating monte Cristo/Nile green
228 alternating monte cristo/periwinkle
96 alternating monte cristo/nile green
1 Nile green (Floating selvedge)
I think the amounts are incorrect and they should be
1
48
114
48
1
I think the first group of amounts, which is reflected in the actual pattern, refers to the amount of individual threads and not pairs of threads. The second group reflects pairs of threads.
Please help!
The 422 ends in this blanket are the total ends needed when you wind your warp. The numbers are not incorrect - they add up to the correct number of ends in the project. It's the weavers choice as to whether they wind with the 2 ends in their hand or not. However, if you wind with 2 ends in your hand - you will wind the Organic Cotton/Nile Green 48 times - which gives you 96 ends in that colour group. We always include the total ends needed in the warp on the first page on a pattern. In this case it's 422. Hope this makes sense....
