Season 3 Episode 8 scarves complete! This was a challenging weave not regarding the draft BUT the mystery fibre used for part of the warp edges/ selvages. It was a beautiful variegated fibre with earth tones scattered with turquoise and burgundy. The problem was that the core of the fibre was a thin nylon string covered with a slub like texture of a synthetic fibre that shredded repeatedly. Thankfully the nylon core didn’t break. The rest of the warp and weft was 8/2 Tencel with sup warp thread 8/4 Tencel. After wet finishing it has a wee bit of a collapsed texture appearance so I will not iron it for fear of melting the nylon core in the mystery fibre.
