I am doing the weft faced weave sample (episode 4) . It has been wet here in New Brunswick so I thought woo hoo my linen warp shall be happy. However I have older family members here for a visit, so on goes the wood furnace to get out the dampness. My loom is right by a register, so I kept my squirt bottle of water handy. My warp does dry out, and I can see little frays of fiber sticking out along the warp . My problem is I keep getting breaks (hope the picture attached). I've had about 4 breaks so far . The breaks always happen at the spot where I'm weaving, not in the heddles or back, just where my wool/weaving is. One break is on the left side, and the others are on the right. I'm thinking this is a tension issue ? Should I cut off and try tying on again ? Or am I missing something else all together. Thank you

Linen warp problems- advice please
It looks like you have twisted warp threads on both sides of your loom, Marjorie. Can you double check to see if you do? The threads should be coming directly from your warp to your cloth beam. It looks to me that there are a couple of sections where you might have crossed threads while denting. If this is the case, then that’s your problem and you will have to cut off what you have done so far and sley your reed again. When you tie back on, make sure your tension is even across your warp. Let me know if this solves your issue with this warp. Linen is wonderful to weave with ;-)
The warp wasn't crossed, it was just the angle I was sitting at ( I think I had one of my feet on my petals too). I took a new picture but the ibbo site is down right now / or won't work for me now so I can't attach my new one.
I was able to talk face to face to a fellow weaver yesterday and she gave me a couple tips (she's never sprayed a linen warp either). I am going to cut off my warp once again, tidy up where I had to rejoin the new pieces, and double check the back beam (re wind it on). I am determined to make this work :)
