I am pleased with the outcome of my double weave experiment. My color choices could have/should have been better (my two middle colors were too close to the same color family), as the dividing line between the halves is pretty much non-existent, so it's a good thing my dividing line didn't turn out horrible. Several repairs for floats and started out making the color changes at the fold--a learning curve! But all in all it was a fun and definitely a worthwhile learning experience! Attaching some photos to get more suggestions on what could have been better. Thank you again for the wonderful and fun dive into dbl weave! https://ibb.co/3rKCQJH

I like the way your colors are arranged! It's lovely.
Thank you Lana 💕
How do you repair a float? I am going to start this project in January
I can tell you how I repaired floats if it is 100% animal fiber.
It will sound scary, and is probably crazy, but it works.
I pull the float out into a loop that is big enough to get my hands or at least a couple of fingers through. Then I cut it and weave the ends back to where they belong, and spit-splice it by overlapping it slightly--about 1/2 inch—rub the sections together until you can feel a little heat which melds the ends together. then gently smooth it out. Word of caution, though. don't forget to weave them back in before splicing. Ask me how I know this. LOL. After you wash it you will not be able to tell where the floats were.
Thank you I hope I don't have to try it! If I do I will be prepared thank you!
