I know you don't carry pre-made painted warps, but in a moment of weakness I bought one with fabulous colors. Now I don't know what to do with it. Naturally, I want it warp-faced and I have #10, and #12 reeds so I'm unsure which to use and how many threads per dent. And of course what to do for the weft? After listening to your great discussions about "drape," I want to get this right...not to mention the cost of the warp. It's 8/2 Tencel/lyocell with 400 ends. It's 5 7/8 yds. Add to all that is that I have no idea what to make!! Hoping you can give me some guidance. BTW, I am totally enjoying your "Seasons" program...after about a 15 yr. hiatus, I was really rusty and you've been an incredible help!
Hi Kathy,
Jane did an episode on Warp Faced in Season 3 that will give you some ideas!
Here's the link to the lesson: https://www.schoolofweaving.tv/season-3-episode-5-warp-faced
With a #10 and #12 reed, that will give you lots of options when it comes to the sett so that's great to have those two reeds.
Thank you! I'm still working through Season 2 so I'll jump ahead to Season 3. I'm betting Jane will have lots of good advice.
