My 'Asymmetry' project is a series of potential towels that are still basically one long uninterrupted fabric. I am planning on using a sewing machine to hem. I didn't hemstitch the final end because I was going to do machine hems. Two questions: 1) how to protect the ends before wet-finishing? should I do a zig-zag stitch? I don't have a serger.
2) I wanted to cut off one of the samples to save it as a reference that is not wet-finished so I can see how the structure changes afterwords. How to best protect the cut edges from unravelling?
