I am having difficulty understanding the warping order. The diagram shows 2 pale limette then 10 each of lemon, butter and nile. But the written instuctions say to warp 2 ends of lemon, 1 butter and 1 nile holding them together. Can someone please explain?
Good morning, Harriet - this is where you get to practice holding 4 ends in your hand while you warp. Jane demonstrates this in Season 1.1.3 - Multiple Ends in Your Warp and shows us how to hold multiple warp ends. This warp is divided into 3 segments while you are warping - the first and last segments are wound with 4 ends in your hand until you have 108 threads. In the middle section, you warp according to the chart and finish with a repeat of the first section.
So why does it show to warp 2 limette, 10 lemon, 10 butter and 10 nile in the graph?
The graph is for the middle section.
Thank you. I understand now.
