Hi, I have woven my wonderful sample colour and weave gamps using several different 8/2 yarns and my next task is to spread the warp and sample new warp yarns but according to my calculations a 12 wpi is 29" but my loom is only 26". Can anyone suggest a meaningful way to resolve this? Would dropping out a couple of repeats for each square be best?

That would certainly be one way, Sally! Another way would be to drop one of the squares and a framer. You already know what that looks like woven and you will be able to imagine what it will look like spread out with your opened sett.
