I have woven 4 cotton warp / silk weft shawls: 3 with parrot cotton warp - using Ariel's Voice silk for weft with the loop technique (forgot what this is called), 1 with primaries and secondaries cotton warp, and using Budda Berry silk weft. Am I supposed to gently wash before using? Fulling, I believe, is what Jane calls this technique. It is necessary? I suppose it makes it even softer? Thank you so very much! Jan, in Dallas
