I used the photo-inspiration method to choose colours for Stephen West's 2021 Mystery Knit Along. I'm very happy with my Falcon Creek Shawl.

Quilter's use this trick. Select a fabric that you like the design or colors then check the selvedge. Many manufacturers place the colors used there making it easier to coordinate other fabrics. Weavers can use this trick to match threads.
