I just finished warping my loom from back to front for the first time. It seems as though it would be easier to wind the warp on if I had chained my warp from the back of the chain, rather than from where the crosses are. Then I could unwind the chain from the back of the loom. I was running back and forth to wind at the back, then go up front and unwind the chain, trying to keep everything tidy. Am I correct, or am I missing something?
There is no rule about whether you warp back to front or front to back. If you find yourself more comfortable warping one way or the other - then use the system that you are comfortable with. Here's an article from our Knowledge Base that Jane has written which discusses both ways. Hope this helps....
