This is my second weaving project but the first time I have made the warp, dressed, and used this second hand Leclerc Inca. It’s not perfect and I learned quite a bit from troubleshooting some errors and problems, thanks to Jane’s videos and her encouragement to just try different things and see how it affects the weaving.
It took me almost a year to make time to conquer the learning curve of getting the loom set up but now I can steal away for a few minutes here and there to weave, and the thought of dressing the loom next time feels much less intimidating.
WOW! Good for you, Debra! The time you've spent being patient with yourself as you've thoughtfully learned the steps involved in dressing your loom - will serve you well your whole weaving life! 👏👏👏. We look forward to following your journey!
Thank you Sandra!
Just to clarify most of the year was spent being too intimidated to get started - now that it’s winter and the outside work is done I was able to devote the time and concentration I needed to tackle it!
I have also just realized I missed a dent in the reed but it’s near the left edge so I’m going to finish the first sample and then cut the warp and resley those 7 threads. Now I know why it looked kind of funky on that side 😅 Another lesson learned!
Gorgeous!
I'm not sure why, but I cannot see the image. I clicked on the little image icon, which took me to imagbb, but nothing loads. :-(
I have no idea 🤷🏼♀️ It was my first time posting, I wasn’t sure if I posted the image correctly but it shows for me
