Hi There, when warping back to front Jane uses a round metal warp rod to hold the cross end. Are there any disadvantages to using an extra wood lease stick for the warp rod to tie onto the apron rod?

No really, Nancy...it's just nice to have the small metal rod that you can use to lash onto the warp beam before you start winding your warp on. To quote Jane - "not right, not wrong, just different" ;-) The metal rods often come on a Louet loom.
It would be very handy if a metal warp rod was automatically supplied with the Louet Jane loom, rather than each weaver having to improvise and find something that will do the job. I wonder why it is not included? This general topic is also discussed in another thread with the same title from a while ago, so might be worth a look.
