Hi Jane & Team,
I purchased 2 x 1lb cones of Monte Cristo cotton from you some time ago with the view to making two Baby Blankies. My Project Specs from the October 2015 Weaver’s Retreat doesn’t include the warp length. I’ve spent quite some time using a couple of different formulas to calculate warp length, including the pdf from Season 1, but my figures come in over the amount of the two cones. Could you please tell me the warp length of the “Baby Blankie with cording & denting” pattern?
Thank you, Deya
Hi Deya - the warp length for 1 blanket (including fringe) is 2 ½ yards - for a 274-end blanket. You wouldn't need to double the warp to weave two without cutting them off in between - the fringes for two blankets will make a nice divider between the 2 blankies. I hope your sheet has all the other relevant information on it...........
Hi Deya
I want to weave a baby blanket for a friend and have never woven any blanket before. Can you share the project draft or refer me to where I can find it? Thanks. Diane
Hi Diane, the draft is sold as part of the Monte Cristo Baby Blanket kit in the JST shop. Go to Shop, Kits, then Blankets & you’ll find the MC Baby Blanket kit there.
Regards, Deya
