Regarding 8/2 cotton as an example, once I have lashed the warp chain to the back beam and then spread the warp into the raddle, Should i spread the warp 2 ends per raddle dent or 4 , or should i focus on spreading the chain out in the raddle so i get the required width.? I have a bad habit of overcomplicating, so if that is the case i would be grateful to know. thanks

When I dress the loom, how do I ensure that the warp stays in a specific order, as for the asymmetry sample in Season 2 sample 1.? My loom is a 4-shaft Mighty Wolf. Thank you.

Have you rewatched Season 1, Episode 2? Jane shows us how she does it on both a Louet loom and a regular raddle in lessons 1 & 2 of this episode. Your main objective is to get your warp spread across your raddle evenly to the eventual with it will be in your reed. Have fun and relax ;-)

Visualize the way it will be as you sit at the loom. Usually, you dress it in the order it was warped, so in this case, your stripes starting on the right. It really isn't a big deal - your cloth will still be the same if you do it the other way, just flipped ;-)

Hello, Friends! I'm a relatively new weaver, with a floor loom that I am "storing" for a friend who doesn't have space. Lucky me!

Well, I started weaving with Jane's excellent lessons, and now, I'm on the sample 2, season 2, the color and weave gamp. It's so amazing. So, I had a few issues with missing a section of the warp- I put on the extras, and weighted them , sleyed the reed, etc. When I went to tie-on the front apron, I thought I had even tension. Then, as I advanced a wee bit, I noticed multiple loose threads in the back of the loom (all throughout the warp, not just in the spot that I added warp and weights). (of course, by this point, I had removed my lease sticks). I'm stumped in how to fix this. I'd hate to start over, but I'm wondering if it is the best way? I cut off the tied-on strings, to retie onto the apron, but, honestly, I'm a little bit flummoxed.

Hello! I'm just beginning to weave and have a question about heddles. I thought this might be the best place to ask : )
I have an older 8 Harness Schacht Baby Wolf (1993) and have 500 metal heddles. I imagine I'll eventually need more heddles when I move onto 8 shaft projects, and wondered if you could advise how many would be a good number to order? I understand that metal heddles are preferable for the Baby Wolf looms because they are heavier. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

I am not sure my warp is on with proper tension. The paper is not as flat and tight as it normally is. I have not threaded yet. Should I unwind it and rewind? If so, what's the best way to do that? thank you

What is the project you have on the loom? A long one or short items like tea towels?

Hi, I’m new and am watching Season 1 Episode 2 Jane shows a metal warp rod. Is there a recommendation on what to use for this, especially with a Baby Wolf?

Hello, I am also new. I just bought a 70am Louet Jane table loom. I was also wondering what thickness metal rod you would recommend to use as a warping rod. This looks like such a lovely simple way to warp. Much easier than using the reed to spread the warp, which is what someone else tried to teach me. Many thanks, Gaynor
