Does Jane show how to fix a broken selvedge thread anywhere? Would I follow the same direction for a repairing a warp thread? Also, does anyone use the under, under throwing the shuttle from the right and over, over throwing from the left when using floating selvedge If so, did it make a difference in reducing the untwisting and breakage?
Treat a broken selvedge thread like a regular broken warp thread, and you’re good to go.
Myself, I use throw over, catch under, as Jane does. It’s habit now. Hopefully some other weavers will chime in with their own experience.
