First of all, I know about weighing errant warp threads, but I am wondering why I suddenly have several very loos warp threads in my blanket warp. I can't find anything broken between the front and the back beams, but there are a bunch of very loose treads. Fortunately I am near the end, but I can't figure out why this is happening. I discovered it when my shuttle was catching and diving. Any clues, or a solution? I already have some of them hanging with hooks and washers to keep them in line, but now there are more. Argh.
And yes, this is the double weave blanket from hell.
Is your warp getting close to the end on your warp beam? Did you tie any separate ends to the rod when you were attaching your warp to the back? The only thing that immediately comes to mind is that, if so, these errant threads have decided they want to be free ;-) If this might be the case you may have to capture them and take their freedom away!
