Dear All, I wonder if you can help me with the issue I am having with my newly purchased David 3. It had been working perfectly for the first two months, but in the last project (season 3, ep 8 - supplementary warp), the shafts are no longer raising and lowering properly. I went to Louët Support Helpdesk to investigate and can rule out spring tension under the shelf, nor is the issue tangled lams or heddles.
My husband suspects the issue is with the cams. We live in an location with a high level of humidity and wood tends to expand during this time of year. He thinks that the cams expanded slightly and no longer have sufficient room to move past each other smoothly.
Has anyone experienced this issue? Could it be humidity or might it be another issue? Any help is much appreciated!!
