I hope it's okay to ask this question here. My husband has been making me a custom designed 8 shaft Jack loom based on an Ashford. We are doing a test warp and trying to figure out why the shafts are rising oddly, AND what's happening to cause the tension to change so much then the shafts are raised. Have you tried throwing a few picks and beating them in? It almost looks like you’ll be fine - the first picture is great. Sometimes the warp has to be beaten a few times to make sure everything will be aligned as you weave. That’s why you always weave an inch or 2 before you start weaving you project. Is your warp yarn sticky?
