I recently purchased a skein of Merino Slim yarn. It's single ply, 437yds/4oz. The label says knit using 3mm US 2 but nothing about sett for weaving. Since I only have a small amount in reluctant to use a bunch of it sampling. I'm wondering if anyone else has woven with this yarn and may have a suggestion for an appropriate sett? I'm thinking of trying to combine it with some lovely silk that I have. Thanks!

Just a thought… since the label says knitting, maybe use that yarn as your weft?
You won’t have to fret about breakage, weird shrinkage/bias, loom loss, etc etc.
It’s probably fingering weight .

I could, though I would rather use it as the warp if possible. The yarn is by Fleece Artist.

I found a similar yarn (I think) on Jane's master yarn chart. It's a 90% merino superwash, similar weight.
Mine is a single yarn, 100% superwash, slightly lighter weight (1750 yds/lb vs 1635 yds/lb in the yarn chart). The chart shows a sett of 15 plain weave (20 twill) so I'll use that as a guide I guess
