ONCE again, I find that the directions are somewhat unclear! I am weaving this weekend and BEFORE I take out about 38 picks. I am hoping someone has a little clarity.

Directions call for 20 pattern picks of A. A is a block with 2 pattern picks and 2 tabby picks. I have been counting this as a single unit, because of the profile draft (for threading as well as treadling). It has dawned on my that I should count the individual pattern picks in a block (of A, B, C or D) as 2 and not as 1.

If you have any experience/enlightenment with this project, please help.

When I am not sure of an instruction, I always go back and review the video. I can always find clarity there.
The crackle weave towels that I took off of the loom shrunk a lot after wet finishing. My 30 inch towels shrunk 4 inches in length.

As it’s the only one I see calling for 2 picks in each block.

Not sure I understand your question, but as I see it you weave :

2 picks Block D
2 picks Block B
And repeat those 2 Blocks - 6x

Assuming you're throwing in a tabby between each block pick.

I’ve got the Christmas Crackle runner on my loom right now. It’s gorgeous.
