Hello all
No questions for once, just wanted to put it on the record how much I love the fact that Jane uses a good old blackboard and chalk when demonstrating and explaining new weaving concepts to us all. It is just so refreshing to have her knowledge and expertise expressed through in this peaceful, simple method....at a pace that gives us the time to take in what is being said, with lovely relaxed commentary, trademark self deprecating quirky humour and encouragement. As a former teacher myself, who experienced the unwelcome taking over of our children's classrooms, and now, increasingly it seems, their minds, by endlessly invasive and impersonal technology, I breathe a sigh of relief when Jane takes up that chalk. I particularly like the gadget that allows several parallel lines to be drawn at once- now that's my kind of technology! Anyway, as I start working my way through another Season of wonderful weaving instruction and learning, I would just like to pay tribute to a wonderful teacher and her blackboard and chalk....and that fancy schmanzy cardboard display board is also appreciated! Thanks Jane!
Whoops! Looks like I 'liked' my own post by mistake.....and now I can't figure out how to 'unlike' it....or if that's even possible....well anyway, thanks to those who did 'Like' it! :-)
