It’s hard to believe that this year has flown by so fast! Are you busy weaving Christmas or seasonal gifts? We’d love to see what you have on your loom as you complete your 2024 projects. And, we’ve seen some stunning weaving being done by our School of Weaving members - we’d love to see yours!
I am winding a warp for Interlocking Double Weave S8E7 - 8 shaft.
my loom is a David , so sinking shed. the draft is for a rising shed.
so as I wind I am trying to get my head around the tie-up.
should I just follow the handout and accept that the top & bottom will be reversed?
Or, should I change the tie up, ie: tie the blanks? But then how do I handle the "stitchers" and the "*get it out of the way"?
I am doing this as a 4/8 stash buster , so different colours. Might have some Christmas placemats, maybe a tree skirt.
This is what it looks like on Fireworks

It worked! I tied up the blanks for my sinking shed David.
Using yarn from my stash. I had 3 cones of evergreen, so that is on the underside.
Didn’t have purple but did have raspberry. And the graphic is changed.
Turned will towels from an undulating twill profile. Feeling groovy!

You are in the "zone" and looking good!
Similar to Lana McNeil with Turned Twill Tea Towels. A design that has been rattling around in my head and 'to-do' list for a while. Am going to do it in two different, yet similar, colourways so that I can finally answer the question - which one do I prefer?
Hadn't even wound the warp when my House Mate has put dibs on one of them. No pressure - eh?

Another set of tea towels for gifting. Turned twill from Seasons 5 and 6.
Churro Wool Warp and Weft. Weft faced weaving on my Gilmore.

This weaving is inspired by the rock layers at Capitol Reef National Park.

And, on my 4H Leclerc. [img][/img]
Gotta admit, the return to super slow weaving while drooling over double weave lessons is requiring a bit of patience until I have a free loom. And HOW MANY looms do you have?
