Hello! I am just getting acquainted with my new Spring 2 and would like to know what the function of the upper piece of Texsolv cording is on the floating breast beam? I’ve hooked the long, lower cord as instructed and adjusted my tension to the breast beam. In the manual it shows the smaller cord slack like this, but I’m wondering if it shouldn’t it be hooked on the same hole as the lower Texsov cord? Any thoughts? As it is right now, it doesn’t seem to do anything? I’ll insert a photo.

Hi Mary,
I think the cord is there to prevent the floating breastbeam from bumping into the cloth advance handle.
I hope my assumption is correct.
