I am a new weaver and trying to find the same weight mohair that Jane uses in her blankie, but there's only a few places I've found. Where are you all buying your mohair?

Can I still make a blankie that FEELS like a blanket if I use lace weight and a higher EPI?

Is brushed alpaca comparably fluffy?

Talking about mohair, how difficult is it to weave doubleweave? Thinking of trying a blankie on my 22” wide loom.

Been wondering that myself. From my facebook forums, I gather that doubleweave is hard because all the extra fuzz muddles things up, but joining two pieces together works well because the fuzz covers up the join so it looks seamless. I'm about to find out!
