My floating selvedge is indeed floating - under and over the first 2 warp threads in my 3-1 twill. Is there a different way to thread the last few threads to make sure all the warp threads are woven? I recall Jane mentioning something about threading consecutive threads in "opposite" shafts?
Hi Lorraine, not sure if this will help but on this video around 14:34 time mark, Jane talks about having plain weave on seperate shafts on the ends if you don't want the twill on your selvedges but you'll need more than 4 shafts. https://www.schoolofweaving.tv/videos/4-7-1-introduction-to-twill-and-basket-weave
