Now that showers have, hopefully, left April behind - share the May flowers blooming on your looms with us ;-)
Hi, I'm about to do Linda's scarf on eight shafts two block turned twill from Season 6 Episode 6. I'm assuming that the draft is for a rising shed loom? Just checking as I'm warping up my Spring ll countermarch.
Thanks so much in advance.
You’ll get an interesting twill pattern, no matter what side is up - enjoy!
I'm working on the Bronson Spot lesson and I'm really enjoying it. I love the fact that if I get up and lose my place, it's so easy to find again and keep going. I've woven a few of the gamp samples, up next is scarf #1 in two shades of 8/2 tencel before I try scarf #2 with my silks. I don't know why, but I'm afraid to use the silks! Going to have a glass of wine first and then just go for it!
Don't be afraid to use the silks, Scott - you'll be fine. If a glass of wine gives you "Dutch courage" - go for it - it puts me to sleep 🤪
Just finished my first piece with 16/2 Bambú! I was a bit nervous about the drape on this scarf and am pleased with how it turned out. I think I see a lot more 16/2 Bambú in my future! I used 30 EPI and 40 PPI. Thanks Cheryl for your help with the hem stitching tips!
