I should have posted these on the final week of March but I just hemmed the fourth bath towel a couple of days ago. The warp is 22/2 cottolin and the weft is 6/1 tow linen. 8 shaft rose path twill threading. I warped up hand towels first on one of my table looms to try out different patterns for the borders and bodies of the towels before committing to the bath towels. My original plan was for 5 or 6 hand towels but my husband asked for some washcloths, so I wove 3 hand towels and 3 wash cloths.
Then I warped up David for the bath towels. On the loom they were 34" wide and 70" long. Shrunk about 10%. The photos show the towels straight out of the dryer, not pressed and looking perfect because....I won't be pressing them to hang in my master bathroom LOL. I have to say they towels are nice and thick and thirsty and they dry very quickly.
Hand towels photo...there are different lift plans for each of them. Table looms are so perfect for playing as I don't have to crawl on the floor and re-tie anything.
