Hello, how should I wet finish my tea towels with 16/2 line linen warp and 8/2 cotton weft? Can I wash in the machine? or by hand or other? Thank you. Deb
Try washing them by machine but hang them to dry.
its my very very first time for me to wash my season 2 project. I have the special sheets for the red not to bleed.
Do I put in top load washer on gentle cycle - top loading to control length as Jane did with mohair?
Or
Handwash?
I usually wash/full samples using the method that I would use in the future. For instance, if the sample is 8/2 cotton - which I'm guessing it is - then I would wash it and dry it gently in the dryer. When you start weaving tea towels in 8/2 cotton, you would machine wash and dry them... However, when you get to samples with wool, silk or other special fibres in them - then wash them by hand.
