I’ve just started a baby blanket on my new David 3 from Tim Knisely’s book it’s a wide warp and was the first time using a warping mill. I have made two warp chains and had a couple of problems with tension so had to wind all to the front beam then fix and wind back again then noticed a threading problem when I started the pattern so I un-weaved but I have learnt so much!!! I’ve been concentrating on reading the fabric as I go so I can work out where I’m up to in the pattern and even though I had a few issues to start I’m loving it all!!!

I am on fingertip towel #3 (out of 6) on my Carolyn table loom. The warp and weft is 16/2 linen at 20 epi. Huck lace.

I am in the process of warping David 3 for 4 bath towels. He has a sectional beam and I have 8 sections warped as of yesterday evening...26 sections to go. I warp with an AVL warping wheel. 9 yard warp 22/2 cottolin warp set at 20 epi. 8 shaft Rosepath threading planned. Weft will be 6/2 tow linen.

I have begun Season 2 in the school and supplies are on their way for all of the samplers!! I'm eager to get started with this journey of exploration!! 😊

Hi Everyone-
I hope I've embedded the picture properly. I saw this idea as a towel kit for rigid heddle with pick-up on Cotton Clouds. It seemed like it would be easy to do with 4 shafts, and I was looking for a simple quick design for some napkins. The yarn is Brassard 8/2 cottolin in Bianchi, Marine and Periwinkle. Definitely a speed weaving project as it's all plain weave with only one color in the weft. I'm hoping for 12 napkins out of a 7.5 yard warp. We'll see what happens.

I've just finished the Asymmetry tea towels. I really loved playing with patterns, especially some of the alternating sequences Jane talked about. Then I played with creating some plaid (I know were not there yet in the lessons!) I'm a little disappointed in how the weft colour changes from the stripes show all along my edges, like little dots where the thread fed back in after jumping the bump/diving the dip then cut close. Not issues when carrying up with 2 shuttles but when having to cut the thread for wider picks, it shows. Jane's never seem to show along the sides. Anything I can try differently?
Getting started soon on warping for the colour & weave gamp.
