What is the different?
Hi Sonja - a “study” is usually a focus on a particular weaving structure. For instance, Jane has taken us on a study of M’s & O’s in Season 6 and 7 and will continue that “study” in Season 8.
A project would be deciding on something you want to weave - say scarves - and then your project would be designing the graphic, choosing the colours and yarn you want to use. Then you can move on to planning everything that you want in your scarf project, warping, weaving and right up to finishing your scarves.
You can find the descriptions for gamp and sampler in our Glossary of Weaving Terms (in our Knowledge Base) as well as other weaving terms as they are described in English. https://janestaffordtextiles.com/knowledge-base/a-glossary-of-weaving-terms/
Thank you @Sandra, now I understand it better :-)
Sonja, I most often combine a sample/gamp into a project, cause life is short!
