Jane loom question

Hi,

I bought a new Jane loom last christmas, and am just starting to warp it, but it didn't come with a metal bar to attach to the apron. (The rod is shown in Jane's images on "how to warp a Jane Loom"All the long pieces for the warp were wood. I might have the terms mixed up. But there's no rounded metal bar. And the loom is new.

Did Louet stop including it or do I need to reach out to the dealer who sold it to me?

Hi Julia,

My Jane loom didn't come with a metal rod, either. I ordered a metal rod cut to size from a local hardware shop, but I also use wooden cross warp sticks that came with Ashford rigid loom. They have holes, so it's easy to attach using texsolve cords. Both of them are strong enough to do the job, so whichever is easier for you to order :)

There is no metal rod for the Jane. I am attaching a photo of a new warp that I have tied onto my Jane in preparation for Double Weave class in a few weeks. As you can see, you attach your slayed warp right to the wooden rod. HTH

Hi Cheryl,
Thank you for the quick response. : ) What a lovely project!

I'm addressing the back of the loom, where the warp first goes on, before threading the heddles.

But if there's no metal rod it is the same answer. And that lets me continue to set up the new loom.

Hey Julia, I have always thought that the apron rod was on the front.

But, you’re right. It’s the same set up on the warp beam at the back. I hope you love your Jane!!
