I ordered your 20/2 Bombyx silk and neglected to ask you to wind it onto a styrene spool. Can I move it from my swift onto a spool using my bobbin winder, then transfer from the spool to 4" inch bobbin for weaving? I've tried to wind silk from the swift to my ball winder but found it ended up becoming very tangled.

That's exactly what I do too. I have found that it's easier to wind onto the spool if the swift is located behind me as it unwinds. It is sure worth the extra expense to have JST do the winding onto the spools !!
