I just purchased Jane's Monte Cristo baby blanket kit and have a questions about the threading sequence. The draft says to thread the first 44 ends, one end per heddle, then thread two ends together in one heddle. Repeat this sequence four more times. Does this mean the 4th sequence would have 2 threads on the first shaft again? (The double thread is always supposed to be on sequential shafts. End with last 44 ends, one end per heddle.
Thanks Diane
Hi Diane. Not sure I understand your question; but there are 6 44-thread sequences with a double in between each. So 44 - 2 (in one heddle) - 44 - 2 - 44 - 2 - 44 - 2 - 44 - 2 - 44.
274 ends total.
You will love this blanket!
So does the 2 in one heddle change each sequence being the first 2 would be in the first heddle, the second of 2 would be in the second heddle and so on?
Yes. She points this out in Notes in the pattern.
