I usually beam the warp alone and there is just room for my bench between loom front and wall so Jane's trick with heavy books isn't easy to use.
So I was constantly running around my loom, pulling the warp and ajusting the paper.
And I really wanted a cone stand..
At Ikea I found some convenient products, toilet roll stand Ragrud and plant stand Vaniljstang. I only replaced the bottom shelf with a thicker wooden board and drilled a few holes for wooden sticks

I just finished beaming and it was really a help. It is amazing how much tension can be produced. First I used also the cross bar where usually the toilet roll sits and I couldn't roll up at all.
The cone stand is of course not a beauty and not comparable with sthe ones to buy, but it works fine and I can use it as additional storage space when not in use.
