I asked a question in the area after the videos in season 3 cramming and denting but since I'm impatient, I thought I would see if I can get a response here! I warped my 6 yard warp for the project before seeing the comments about having trouble with linen on jack looms. My floor loom is a 56" fireside and I have a 15" Schacht table loom. A lot of the comments say that the linen does better with a Schacht loom but I don't know if that includes a table loom. Just wondering if I should do this project on the table loom.
I've woven more linen projects on my table loom (Woolhouse Tools Carolyn) than my old AVL floor loom (sold that one and now have a David 3). If your table loom can handle a tight warp, you shouldn't have any issues.
Hi Laura,
The dented scarf one was one my favorite projects and I wove several beautiful scarves using my Macomber (jack) loom. It turned out so well - and was so easy to weave that I ordered more of the linen to make the scarf in a different color. So, yes, the linen that was in the kit for this project wove up with no trouble on my loom.
I hope that endorsement helps!
Debra
Thanks for both of the comments! I love how the linen looks in the warp chain so I 'm very excited to get started on the project. I appreciate the input and I guess I'll just make a choice on which loom to put it on. Thanks again!
