My wonderful hubby made this so I can watch Jane while I weave, and have the pdf right in my face!

Wow...he sure is talented !!
Perfect!
Great idea! May have to ask my woodworker for one of those
Let me know if you need more information. π
Don is always happy to share.
I found some 3D printed ones so I could do the same thing!
I was going to have our son do that but my husband beat him to it in the woodshop! π
If your husband could make a shuttle race for my Jane loom like this one...I'd pay him!! The husband quoted in this photo is not mine LOL.

I use a really simple set up for a shuttle race when needed. Just tie a lease stick around the beater using a strip of nylon fabric (you could use some old nylons). Tie it fairly tight. It's easy to raise or lower the shuttle race and it provides just enough support so your shuttle doesn't do a nose dive. It's also flexible so that when you beat, the race doesn't hit the woven fabric hard. And, it didn't cost me anything!

The creative solutions weavers come up with are wonderful!!
Nice solution Kathleen. I added a permanent shuttle race to my Woolhouse Tools Carolyn, but it isn't as pretty as the one on the Jane loom in the photo above. I wonder why table loom manufacturers don't think weavers LIKE shuttle races????
Every loom should have a shuttle race! Just sayinβ. ππ
I have memories of many shuttle dives from my rigid heddle days. Argh!
Great idea, Kathleen! Ingenuity is the Mother of Invention! Or something like that. Lol.
Two really great ideas!
