Share what's on your loom in this thread - we'd all love to see what's on it and what's coming off it this month.
Off the loom today. Season 6 warp in gradations, Seasons 5 & 6 Tie Ups. I'm still practicing turned twill drafts. And some towels also have diced triangle tie ups too.

The high contrast really lets the twill shine! Lovely.
Very nice!!
So beautiful warm colours!
Finished the last Season 6 Episode 9 scarf over the weekend. Loved the tussah silk so much I placed an order for a few more colors (it's out for delivery by UPS today!!) I only used a single outline thread in navy blue because I totally forgot about them until I'd already wound the sections on my sectional beam past the first segment where the threads would have been included...that section had a single blue thread dangling off the back of the sectional beam under tension. The first scarf I wove using the snowflake pattern which I loved (and kept this scarf for myself). The one I've photographed here is the square in a square and is a birthday present for my dear niece. The square is easier to see. This weave structure was very easy to see and follow while weaving and didn't require looking at any diagram (so much easier and faster to weave).

Gosh that looks yummy. The square in a square is really interesting. I can't wait to play with tussah.
Gillian, you will love the tussah silk. I didn't really appreciate it fully till I ironed it and brought out the shine!! I finished it by delicate cycle in my washing machine (It's a front loader). Carefully draped to air dry till damp, then did a hard press on the wool/silk setting on my iron. Then I tossed the whole thing in my dryer on the low heat setting with a couple of damp bath towels.
Did another final steam press on the wool/silk setting.
You are a brave woman to throw that into the washer. Your courage paid off : )
I just took this scarf off the loom yesterday. Some of you will recall it has the silk in it that I was asking for suggestions about. I needed up warping with Gist alpaca and adding stripes of the Tussah/Mulberry silk. I'm super happy with it and it is going to be a birthday gift for one of our dear friends. Color shows better in the outdoor photo.

Really enjoyed Season 7 on turned twill again. One thing I find that if I make a mistake and it doesn't show up on the top when I am weaving but shows on the opposite side when it is off the loom, I find it very difficult to correct even under a magnifying glass. What does everyone else do? I go blurry eyed trying to hand weave it with a needle. It takes hours.
Working on getting my PPI balanced as I transition from rug weaving using a warp made from left overs.
Beautiful!
I know I said that turned twill would be my next adventure, but for some reason Monk's Belt Placemats found it's way on to my loom...lol.

That's the end of one placemat. I spent a lot of time and inches with warming up to the whole thing.
This is my first venture out of the world of plain weave. Before this I had only ever warped with a straight draw draft. It's not as hard as I thought.
If this is your first venture out, you are well equipped for the adventure! Beautiful!
Thanks, Gillian! Iβm still learning, then, arenβt we all?
Love your colours, Deb. Nice job.
Love this! Great colors and awesome weaving!
Loving your color choices for the placemats. Beautifully done.
Like it! The fresh colours will be perfect in summer!
Small desaster. Don't ask, a little bit of comfort will do π€£π

Half of the warp for my baby blankets. 7,5m x 218 threads
Catherine, I feel your pain...stick with it sister!!
Oh dear. I feel your pain, Catherine.
Reminds me of the time I forgot to tie the cross.
I am forever forgetting to do that. I start chaining, and almost get to the cross, and curses are uttered. I have to stop, hook the chain over the knobs on the top of my warping mill and rummage for ties. Eventually I will learn. π«π
Oh no! Heartbreaking π
After a good night's sleep and with your kind words I have calmed down , thanks for support!
Yarn should be enough to make it again so let's turn that warping mill.
Luckily its"only" 8/4 cotton and not an exclusive and expensive yarn.
I just finished these towels, which have turned out to be an unintentional lesson in differential shrinkage. This was a Handwoven pattern that a friend saw and loved and I had promised to make her some towels for her new kitchen. These have been washed, but not hemmed. The red was the first. You can definitely tell, because my draw-in hasn't found it's groove yet. You can also see where I feel asleep and did 4 rounds of one treadling instead of 3, ugghh. Note to self, dark green reads black on gold/natural warp w/red weft. The big problem is that the huck, being a lace weave, puffs up and pulls in as it shrinks ( a good thing in a towel) but the plain weave selvedges and overshot don't. These have been pressed and look a bit better for it, but who wants to press a kitchen towel? I suppose this is the sort of learning that comes with years of doing. If anyone cares to accelerate my learning with advice on combining weave structures/or not for best success, I am all ears.

Gillian, I love these colors!! Great job. I have found that if I do a hard press (till dry) on a damp towel the first time, and then toss in the washer and dryer (after this is when I hem) the wrinkles etc are much less. And, as time goes on every time I wash and dry the towels come out better and better. Cotton kitchen towels and really meant to be used !!
Thanks for the tips!
