Thank you Jane for this episode with lace. I learned so much! I loved the last scarf in this episode so much, I wanted to try it in one of my fav’s 10/2 cotton. Using your original threading design , I tweaked the numbers to create a similar design with a different shape but still with a good width. It was such an effort of mental gymnastics to get the right number of threads and repeats to create a 16 1/2 inch width . Lots of errors showed up, but I was able to correct them as I found them with understanding of the form, the lace units designs and just what I was trying to do. I. Have a 4 harness direct treadle loom and i believe that helped me understand what was happening, since it was all under my feet without any tie-ups. Wanted to send my photos, to show you that I “think I got it”
That is so wonderful. I’m always amazed when I get it….and it is still happening to me after all these years. LOL.
It is so exciting and rewarding to GET IT!.
Xoxo Jane
